South Korean President agrees to be questioned.
Impeached South Korean President Park Geun-hye said she has made arrangements to answer questions from an independent panel investigating the political scandal in which she is involved.
In an interview on a television channel on the evening of January 25, President Park Geun-hye said she had agreed on a schedule to answer questions from special prosecutors in charge of the political scandal investigation involving her, according to Xinhua.

According to special prosecutors, Park should answer questions no later than the beginning of February. The investigation is expected to conclude at the end of February but could be extended by 30 days if Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn allows it.
Park was accused of allowing her longtime friend Choi Soon-sil to interfere in state affairs, and of colluding with Choi and a former advisor to pressure large corporations for illicit gain.
She denied the allegations but apologized for carelessness in her relationship with Ms. Choi. The 64-year-old president said this week that she would await the court's ruling. She is facing intense pressure to resign as her approval rating has fallen to just 4%.
The South Korean Constitutional Court is considering impeaching President Park after the National Assembly passed an impeachment motion on December 9. The court has 180 days to make a ruling, but the process is being expedited.
