3 scooters priced as cheap as cars in Vietnam

Scooter models SH300i ABS, Vespa 946 Emporio Armani or BMW C600 Sport have prices ranging from 248 to 538 million, equivalent to car models such as Morning Van 2012 or Honda City 1.5MT.

Scooters are the choice of many users in urban areas, especially big cities. Motorcycle manufacturers and importers in Vietnam focus on developing and launching many scooter models on the market.

Honda Vietnam owns many popular scooter models but has just launched the SH300i ABS with a price of 248 million VND. Previously, Piaggio Vietnam brought in the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani and sold it for 405 million VND. BMW Motorrad importer has the C600 Sport and C650 GT models with prices of 538 and 568 million VND.

At the end of 2016, Honda Vietnam introduced the SH300i ABS scooter imported from Italy. With a selling price of 248 million, this is the most expensive motorbike in the Japanese car manufacturer's product portfolio currently sold in Vietnam.

2. Vespa 946 Emporio Armani (405 million VND)

The model is a collaboration between Piaggio and fashion brand Giorgio Armani, introduced in the Vietnamese market since late 2015. The price of 405 million VND of this special Vespa 946 version is almost equal to Kia Morning Si AT (416 million VND), Mitsubishi Mirage MT (448 million VND) or Chevrolet Aveo (459 million VND).

The price of 538 million VND of this car line is equivalent to the selling price of car models such as Kia Rio (499-565 million VND), Mitsubishi Mirage CVT and Mitsubishi Attrage CVT (522-541 million VND) or Honda City 1.5MT (533 million VND).

BMW C600 sport is as expensive as Honda City 1.5MT.

BMW C600 sport is aimed at users who are looking for smart mobility solutions and want to experience the driving feeling of BMW Motorrad.

The vehicle is equipped with a 4-stroke, 2-cylinder inline engine, 647cc capacity, producing a maximum capacity of 60 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, maximum torque of 66.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The maximum speed of the vehicle can reach 175 km/h, fuel consumption is 4.4 liters/100 km.
