The Provincial Military Command presented 40 gift packages to impoverished households.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 16th, Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, led a delegation to visit, extend New Year greetings, and present gifts to 40 extremely poor households in Nghi Cong Nam and Nghi Cong Bac communes, Nghi Loc district.

In the two communes, the working group assessed the socio-economic development of the locality, inquired about the lives of poor households and families receiving preferential treatment in the area; and also informed them about the economic development and national defense and security situation in the province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command presented 20 gift packages to 20 extremely poor households in Nghi Cong Nam commune and 20 gift packages to 20 extremely poor households in Nghi Cong Bac commune. Each package included a gift bag and cash worth 500,000 VND. These gifts were funded by contributions from the "Tet for the Poor, Spring Dinh Dau 2017" campaign by officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command; with the hope of sharing and encouraging poor households in the province to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year warmly and happily.
