(Baonghean.vn) - Samsung's business situation has been quite gloomy for the past few months, but they are about to face much worse news. Korean prosecutors are preparing an arrest warrant for Samsung Group Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong (also known as Jay Y. Lee) in connection with the Korean political scandal.

Mr. Lee Jae-yong, Vice Chairman and successor to the position of Chairman of Samsung Group.

Investigators accused Mr. Lee of many violations, mainly bribery, when participating in many payment activities with Choi Soon-sil, a close friend of President Park. Choi Soon-sil used her influence to deeply interfere in the government and for personal gain, creating a political scandal that shocked Korea.

The prosecutor's arrest warrant still needs to be approved by the court. However, Lee's possible arrest would be very bad news for him and Samsung Group. Lee is the son of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee. Lee is currently Vice Chairman and is also the successor to his father's position as Chairman. Lee's arrest would cause Samsung Group to be shaken because he lost a key leadership position. His sister also holds a senior position in the group, but certainly cannot have the same influence as Lee. Samsung has yet to officially respond to this information.

Samsung is a conglomerate dominated by the Lee family, so this information will greatly affect Samsung, and by extension the entire Korean economy. Samsung will have to solve the problem of finding a new leader, who may be the first person outside the Lee family, who founded the company and brought Samsung to the top of the world. This is not a simple problem for the most powerful economic group in Korea.
