54 months in prison for group of subjects storing and transporting drugs

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 6, at Block 1, Dien Chau town, Dien Chau District People's Court opened a mobile court to publicly try 4 cases of illegal possession, trading of drugs and theft of property.

The three subjects in the cases of illegal drug possession and trafficking include: Mai Anh Duc (born in 1992, residing in Hamlet 2, Dien Phuc Commune, Dien Chau District) who bought, sold and stored 0.2 g of heroin; Vu Van Hung (born in 1977, residing in Hamlet 3, Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District) who stored 0.15 g of heroin and Nguyen Van Hong (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 4, Quynh Giang Commune, Quynh Luu District) who stored 0.25 g of heroin.

For the above crimes, Dien Chau District People's Court sentenced defendant Mai Anh Duc to 24 months in prison, Vu Van Hung to 12 months in prison and Nguyen Van Hong to 18 months in prison.

Also this morning, the People's Court of Dien Chau district tried defendant Phan Dinh Nam (born in 1993, residing in Nghi Cong Nam, Nghi Loc district) for the crime of stealing a motorbike worth 20 million VND. The panel sentenced defendant Nam to 15 months in prison.
