Veteran Taiwanese actor hangs himself at age 83

The family was shocked to hear that veteran actor Cao Minh had committed suicide by hanging.

Dong Sam news reported that on the morning of February 6, actor Cao Minh hanged himself at his home, at the age of 83. Neighbors were the first to discover his death. They were forced to break down the door and call the police and ambulance.

“Although he was taken to the hospital, Mr. Cao Minh passed away shortly after. A suicide note was also found at the scene,” Dong Sam reported. Currently, his wife and children are taking care of the funeral at Keelung Funeral Home (Taiwan).

According to the source, in his will, he shared his frustrations due to illness and family sadness. Previously, the male artist announced that he had 5 types of cancer: bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, lymphoma, and rectal cancer. His wife and 4 children were mentally prepared that he could pass away at any time. However, his suicide shocked his children and grandchildren.

“During the past few days of celebrating Tet at home, he talked a lot, always saying he loved me. He also told his children to take care of their mother like their father did. I never thought he would want to die,” Cao Minh’s wife, 13 years younger than him, cried as she shared.

Cao Minh's real name is Luu Minh Triet. He used to have a strong body and a photogenic face. Thanks to that, right after joining the entertainment industry, he was invited to participate in Loi Bao Phong Van, Ach Nu Tinh Tham, Quy Mon Quan, Dong Tu Cong, and Met A Lang Again. He once had a period of time developing his career in Hong Kong, signing a contract under Thieu Thi company.
