Monkeys grieve over the body of the robot monkey

The monkeys looked sad next to the dead robot monkey because they considered the artificial monkey as a family member.

The monkeys' compassionate behavior next to the "staged robot monkey's body" was recorded at a Hindu temple in Rajasthan, western India, in the program "Spy In The Wild" broadcast on BBC, UK, Telegraph reported.

According to Metro, the robot monkey's body was remotely controlled and dropped to the ground by the director from above, after which the monkey lay motionless on the ground. The monkeys gathered around the monkey's body, all silent, showing sadness, and each member of the group took turns hugging and kissing it.

"We felt a deathly silence descend upon the monkeys," said show producer Matthew Gordon.

The camera footage gives viewers an insight into the monkeys' behavior, emotions and family bonds, which are just like human emotions.
