With the plan to put the Creta pickup into production in Brazil, Hyundai will likely distribute this model to the market earlier than the Santa Cruz - a pickup model produced by Hyundai to compete with the Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux...

The Hyundai Creta pickup will be developed based on the Creta STC concept that was introduced at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil. According to the Korean automaker, STC stands for Sport Truck Concept, which means “sports pickup truck”. This model is 4,650 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, 1,630 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Compared to the Creta crossover, this pickup variant is 380 mm longer, 70 mm wider, and has a wheelbase of 210 mm longer.

According to Hyundai's plan, the pickup variant of the Creta will be produced at the company's factory in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil for distribution to the South American market, to compete with the Renault Duster Oroch and Fiat Toro. Currently, Hyundai has not announced any information about the transmission system of this model, but it is likely that this pickup will still use the 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engines currently installed on the Creta.

Hyundai's move to put the Creta pickup into production is considered a strategic move in the company's development plan to meet market demand, especially in the context where the crossover and pickup segments are popular with consumers. Creta is considered a model that will help Hyundai boost sales in the world automobile market in the coming years.
