Received 45,000 USD to sponsor heart surgery for disadvantaged children

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 7, in Vinh City, Nghe An Children's Fund organized a reception for funds for heart surgery for disadvantaged children in the area in 2017 sponsored by Rotary International D 3600 - Gawun Rotary (Korea) and RI D3300 Malaysia.

The total amount of support in 2017 worth 45,000 USD was given to the Program "For Children's Hearts" to conduct heart surgery for disadvantaged children in the province.

According to a survey, in Nghe An, there are nearly 22,000 children in especially difficult circumstances, of which nearly 7,000 are orphans; many children under 10 years old with disabilities are in difficult circumstances and do not have funds for treatment, so treating them is difficult.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, comrade Le Xuan Dai thanked the sponsors and charitable organizations from Korea for their attention and support. He highly appreciated the organizations' support for the Provincial Children's Fund, which has performed thousands of surgeries and helped poor children. In the coming time, the province hopes to continue receiving the organization's attention, and at the same time commits to directing the fund to receive and use funds to organize examinations and treatments for children in difficult circumstances for the right purpose and effectively.
