Tractor trailer hits motorbike, 8-month pregnant woman dies

(Baonghean.vn) - A couple went from Quynh Luu district hospital for a pregnancy check-up to their home when they collided with a tractor trailer, killing the wife and leaving the husband in critical condition.

The tragic accident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on February 13 at the Youth Volunteer Force intersection in Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district.

Mr. Ngan Van Chien (born in 1994), residing in Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, drove his wife, Lu Thi Huong (born in 1995), on motorbike with license plate 37L1 38657 to go for an 8-month pregnancy check-up from Quynh Luu district hospital.

Nearing home at the intersection, the motorbike was hit by a tractor trailer with license plate: 37C - 17313, pulling a trailer with license plate: 37R - 011.57, causing Ms. Huong to die on the spot and Mr. Chien to be seriously injured.

The container truck after causing the accident crashed into the roadside.
