A vivid picture of Spring in the 'common homeland'

(Baonghean) - This year, the Dinh Dau Spring Newspaper Festival 2017 in Nghe An was held in Tan Ky district - where the milestone number 0 is located, the starting point of the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail; the "common homeland" of people from three ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, Tho; of people from many provinces and cities who have come here to settle down and make a living.

For Tan Ky district, the Spring Newspaper Festival is a major cultural event, creating conditions for the people of the district to enjoy the achievements of press innovation. And vice versa, for the provincial press, this is an opportunity for press agencies and journalists to get closer to the public in the West. Therefore, the Spring Newspaper Festival Dinh Dau 2017 is especially valued by Nghe An province, the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An province, and Tan Ky district.

Before the main meeting, provincial delegates, leaders of Tan Ky district, Journalists Association, Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Police Newspaper, Nghe An Labor Newspaper, Culture Magazine; veteran journalists, hundreds of journalist members, reporters from local press agencies and 43 resident press agencies in the province, and a large number of people from Tan Ky district gathered.

Press agencies, reporters and people of Tan Ky district met, exchanged, shared experiences, discussed professional matters; and sent best wishes for the New Year.

At the District Cultural Center, large billboards welcome the main hall, and the bright newspaper displays evoke the spring scenery. Outside the yard, the Organizing Committee displays the photographic works honored at the 2016 Nghe An Newspaper “Golden Moment” Award, attracting a large number of viewers, admirers and commentators.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Duc, 72 years old, Ky Son commune (Tan Ky) commented: The works have subtly and artistically expressed current issues in the area from the implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo, industrial and agricultural economic development, major projects; to the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term; environmental protection, seafood fishing; tourism, cultural festivals, traditional craft villages...

The 2017 Nghe An Dinh Dau Spring Newspaper Festival has the theme "Celebrating the glorious Party, celebrating the renewal of the homeland"; the art program welcoming the opening of the festival also vividly depicts this theme through each song and melody: Praising the homeland Nghe An, the common homeland Tan Ky is renewing and developing every day; A Nghe land with charming scenery, warm human affection, rich in cultural identity and the people of Nghe land happily welcoming a peaceful and reunited Spring.

Loving their homeland, the people of Nghe An in general and Tan Ky in particular are joining hands to build the cause of industrialization, modernization and new rural construction, everyone is determined to compete with good people, good deeds... Nearly 100 newspapers and magazines with 1,000 publications of central newspapers, industry newspapers and newspapers of provinces and cities across the country, newsletters of districts, cities and towns have been sent here; rich in form and propaganda content. Each display booth is a flower garden with rich expressions and creative decorative colors.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Thin, 68 years old, in block 5, Lat town, said that he had read many Tet newspapers. The Tet newspapers were rich in information and beautifully presented. Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, Ky Tan commune, shared: The Spring Newspaper Festival has brought more joy to the people of Tan Ky district. The happiest thing is that through the newspaper festival, we can clearly understand the development directions of the country, the province and Tan Ky district, from which we can have appropriate ways to develop the economy, educate our children and orient our careers. Each newspaper article is a valuable lesson for each family, each commune and village.

Attending this year's Spring Press Festival, journalist Ho Quang Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association was truly impressed with the way the press festival was organized as well as the Tet edition of Nghe An Newspaper. He said: Nghe An's Spring Press Festival was organized very impressively, extremely practical and many ethnic people came. Bringing the press festival to mountainous, remote and isolated areas will help people enjoy many cultural beauties.

In this reading room, we can see the whole picture of the country's vivid Spring. This is truly a festival for the press and the press public. I find the press publications very beautiful, good and useful. Journalist Ho Quang Loi hopes that in the coming years, Nghe An province will continue to organize press conferences in all regions; bring daily publications and Spring newspapers to every hamlet and village so that the information and propaganda work will be better and better...

That is also the common wish of the people of Tan Ky district. Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Ky district affirmed: The achievements in economic - cultural and social development of the district are closely linked to the efforts of press agencies to contribute to the construction.

Tan Ky district is happy to welcome press agencies to visit and encourage the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee and people of the district once more and more.

Coming to Tan Ky on the day of the Spring Newspaper Festival, we can feel the warm spring atmosphere all over the hills, fields from Song Con, Len Roi to the new farms and ranches along the legendary Ho Chi Minh road. Welcoming friends from near and far to the newspaper festival, the bright pink peach blossoms along the roadside seem to be more vibrant with the brilliant flags and banners hanging on the roads of the district; along with that are the bright smiles of the people here after a year of turning barren land into a season of oranges and sweet sugarcane...
