Arresting a scammer who defrauded people by promising to secure jobs for them.

On January 25th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Quang Binh Provincial Police issued an arrest warrant and searched the residence of Dinh Huu Toan (35 years old, residing in Yen Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province) for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.

The investigating agency executed an emergency search warrant at the temporary residence of suspect Dinh Huu Toan in My Canh village, Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province, seizing 5 sets of documents related to the suspect's fraudulent activities.

The suspect is Dinh Huu Toan.

Initial investigations have determined that Dinh Huu Toan, taking advantage of the civil service recruitment announcement, disseminated information claiming he had connections and could secure state-employed jobs for anyone interested.

After receiving the applications, Toan requested an initial deposit ranging from 60 to over 150 million VND per case.

According to Dinh Huu Toan's confession, from 2015 to the present, Toan has received 5 sets of application documents, with the total amount of money he received as deposits from victims seeking job placement services reaching nearly 600 million VND.

The Quang Binh Provincial Police are currently continuing and expanding their investigation.
