High school students won 84 awards for Science and Technology Innovation

(Baonghean.vn) - After two exciting days, on the afternoon of January 13, the Science and Technology Innovation Competition for high school students in the 2016-2017 school year held its closing ceremony and award ceremony.

This year's competition has 135 projects from 227 students from 17 education departments and 42 high schools across the province. The projects focus on areas such as Behavioral Social Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Physics, Physics and Astronomy, Robots and Intelligent Machines, Computer Software, etc.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, this year's entries all demonstrate scientific ideas, research skills, and propose quite complete solutions; many projects are practical and highly feasible, creating passion for scientific research, applying lessons into practice, and creating a useful playground to demonstrate the creativity and passion for science of a large number of students.

In addition, the topics are prepared quite elaborately and in accordance with the regulations of a scientific work. Thereby, helping to train scientific research capacity, arouse students' potential and creative thinking, helping students in the whole province to improve their knowledge, practice creative thinking skills, and build the dream of becoming inventors in the future.

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded prizes to 84 products, including 5 first prizes, 13 second prizes, 28 third prizes and 38 consolation prizes. The first prizes went to Anh Son 2 High School, Phan Boi Chau High School, Huynh Thuc Khang High School and Dien Hai Secondary School - Dien Chau.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 collective prizes for high school and middle school levels. In which, the first prize belonged to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district.

The first prize winning projects will be selected to participate in the National Science and Technology Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in March 2017./.
