Although it has undergone many improvements over the last 50 years, the basic function of the ATM remains the same – an automated teller machine. It is time for the machine to change to survive.

NCR - a rather secretive company, has just improved and developed a new version of ATM called "SelfServ 80". This machine is no different from an automated bank that can handle many operations that normally require going directly to the bank.

In addition to automatically dispensing cash like other ATMs, the SelfServ 80 is equipped with a 19-inch touchscreen and video conferencing functionality that allows users to interact with tellers online.

Transactions such as opening a card, borrowing money, etc. can all be done directly from the ATM without having to go to the bank. Communication is done with bank consultants via Skype.

According to NCR, the new ATM model will be piloted this year at several major banks around the world.
