National Assembly monitoring delegation inspects TH milk production process

(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing the inspection program, on the morning of January 17, the National Assembly's supervision delegation on the implementation of food safety policies and laws inspected the milk production process at TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company.

The National Assembly's supervision delegation is led by Comrade Phan Xuan Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment.

Also attending were comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments and branches.

TH Farm has set a record for "the largest high-tech concentrated livestock farm cluster in Asia" with an area of ​​8,100 hectares of barns and pastures, a herd size of more than 45,000 cows, of which more than 22,000 are lactating, and an average milk yield of 30 liters/cow/day.

The National Assembly's monitoring delegation inspected the cow breeding and milking farm, water sources and water filtration processes to ensure cow health and milk quality, feed sources and feed processing processes for cows.

Comrade Phan Xuan Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment highly appreciated the compliance with the guidelines and regulations on ensuring food hygiene and safety of TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company; hoped that the company would continue to apply modern and advanced technology in the production process to have the best milk quality, while ensuring environmental hygiene.

Next, the delegation worked with leaders of Dien Hoa, Dien Hong, Dien Thap, Dien Kim, Dien Ky, Dien Yen communes (Dien Chau district) on food safety issues.

At the meeting, the leaders of the communes raised the current situation of food safety in the locality, and at the same time made recommendations to the National Assembly delegation on a number of issues such as: further strengthening the inspection and supervision of food safety; providing technical support for food quality identification; more strictly controlling the infiltration of goods of unknown origin into the market, etc.

After listening to opinions, comrade Phan Xuan Dung said he would discuss and work with management agencies and functional sectors to resolve difficulties regarding the current food safety and hygiene situation./.
