Nghe An Construction Inspection Center: Striving to become the center of the North Central region

(Baonghean) - Nghe An Construction Inspection Center (address: No. 76, Le Hong Phong Street, Vinh City) is a Grade I public service unit under the Department of Construction; a member of the Vietnam Construction Quality Inspection Network. The Center has the function of assisting the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Construction, departments with specialized construction works, People's Committees of districts, Vinh City, and the towns of Cua Lo, Hoang Mai, and Thai Hoa in performing the task of managing the quality of construction works and construction products.

Nghe An Construction Inspection Center is responsible for:

- Inspection of quality and quantity of construction works for acceptance, liquidation or conversion of construction purposes, and renovation and upgrading of construction works as required by competent authorities or investors.

- Non-specialized construction forensic appraisal according to the provisions of law: Appraisal of quality and quantity at the request of the Provincial People's Committee, requests from law enforcement agencies, social organizations, and project investors.

- Testing, inspecting and evaluating the quality of construction materials and components at the production site, business site and construction site.

- Training and professional development in construction supervision and construction quality management.

- Provide other construction engineering services, including: Consulting on investment projects for construction materials; examining designs of construction works according to current regulations; appraising construction designs according to investor requirements; supervising construction, preparing completion records of construction works.

- Carry out other tasks assigned by the Department of Construction and the Provincial People's Committee such as: Re-inspecting the quality and volume of accepted works when requested to serve the approval of final settlement; providing technical and technological consultancy for the Construction industry...

Construction Inspection Center staff measured the tilt at a house affected by the construction of a high-rise apartment building project.

Currently, the Center has received over 13 billion VND from the State to purchase modern equipment and testing equipment to serve the construction quality inspection work, such as: Ultrasonic bored pile machine; water chemistry testing set; electronic leveling machine; electronic total station; equipment for testing the load-bearing capacity of reinforced concrete piles; three-link compression machine (3-position type) with digital display; ultrasonic rebar machine; multi-function testing machine (bending/tension/compression) equipment for testing and inspecting the structure of construction works, bridges of all kinds, hydroelectric dams, etc.

With the above invested equipment, the Center has carried out 22 experimental groups, 110 tests, meeting the requirements for testing, inspection, and quality assessment of construction works in the current period and the following years. In 2016, revenue reached 240 million VND/person; average income 6.8 million VND/person/month….

Currently, the Center is implementing a number of important programs and projects and striving to become the construction inspection center of the North Central region.
