While being chased by Chinese police, the subject used an AK submachine gun to fight back frantically to escape and then fled to Vietnam.

At the end of April 2015, Fangcheng City Police (Guangxi, China) established a special project "Target Unit 2015-615", destroying a transnational drug trafficking ring led by Trinh Huu Ban.

By May 3, 2015, the authorities had arrested drug lord Trinh Huu Ban, Nguyen Tuyet Ban and 22 other subjects.

Seized evidence included nearly 10kg of crystal meth, more than 14kg of synthetic drugs, 4 guns, 56 bullets and a large amount of cash.

Through investigation, Chinese police also identified Su Feng (born 1985, in Xi Sa town, Cang Khau district, Fangcheng city), who participated in an important role in the transnational drug ring and quickly escaped. A special wanted order for this person was urgently issued.

In mid-May 2016, Guangxi Provincial Police put Su Feng in the "Divine Sword 2" wanted case and sent a team of more than 100 people to participate with the determination to capture this dangerous subject.

Chinese police also visited To Phong's relatives many times to educate, persuade, and call on the family to advise the subject to surrender, but were unsuccessful.

Even during many arrests, with sophisticated and extremely dangerous tricks, many times using AK submachine guns to fight back, To Phong was still outside the law.

The breathtaking siege

Since the beginning of January, Hai Phong City Police received a dispatch from Mong Cai City Police (Quang Ninh), discussing the case of To Phong currently hiding in Hai Phong.

Right from the beginning of receiving the case, the criminal police force (PC52) identified this as an especially dangerous subject, so it was necessary to ensure legal factors and strictly comply with safety requirements during the process of developing arrest plans.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Nam, Deputy Head of PC52, directly commanded the reconnaissance force to search all areas to find clues about the subject. Information from Mong Cai City added that To Phong had a relationship with a woman from Hai Phong who worked as a trader of fresh food to China.

After much effort, the detectives finally found To Phong's "girlfriend", Nguyen Thi Nhu Q (born 1983, in Minh Khai ward, Hong Bang district), who works as a wildlife trader.

After leaving her husband, this woman often went to China to do business and had an affair with To Phong. She is currently renting a house in lane 162 Trung Luc street, Dang Lam ward, Hai An district.

The detectives determined that recently To Phong often went to his lover's boarding house, so the detectives set up an ambush. Until the afternoon of January 13, the detectives received information that To Phong had returned to Hai Phong and would go to his lover's house.

The Criminal Investigation Police Force of Quang Ninh Province Police also promptly arrived to join in capturing the suspect.

From the collected information and documents, it is shown that To Phong is not only a physically strong person but also possesses many hot weapons, such as guns, mines, grenades and is ready to fight back.

The plan for arrest was to wait until the subject opened the door and went outside, then suddenly swoop in and arrest him. This was also the optimal plan to ensure safety for both the subject and the arresting force.

Some crude weapons were equipped by To Phong.

However, after waiting all night until morning, the detectives still did not see To Phong open the door to go out. It was not until noon that the subject slowly carried the dog out to throw the trash. At this moment, receiving the signal, dozens of detectives waiting in ambush rushed in and knocked the subject down, leaving him no time to react.

Searching the house where To Phong was hiding, the police discovered and seized 3 guns, 1 mine, 1 duckbill grenade, 40 AK bullets, 41 lead bullets, 7 flower bullets, 1 set of specialized gun cleaning tools, 1 small scale, many types of drugs and 57 million VND.

Notably, in order to not be discovered, Phong and his lover stocked up on a large amount of essential supplies, enough to last for months without leaving the house.
