Visiting 3 revolutionary red addresses in Thanh Chuong land

(Baonghean.vn) - Thanh Chuong is a revolutionary land, once the place "standing at the forefront, rising first" in the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement. This place still preserves many relics associated with a glorious historical period.

1.Vo Liet Communal House Relic,Also known as Van Quan, Quan Thanh Hang Tong... is the place of worship and meeting of the Van Association, where the names of 445 successful candidates of Thanh Chuong district are kept. In 1929, the communal house was the meeting place of the Tan Viet Party organization. During the revolutionary movement of 1930 - 1931, it was the secret meeting place of the Party organization, where the masses gathered to protest.

Elderly people in Vo Liet commune are introducing stone steles recording the names of 445 successful candidates of the commune and Thanh Chuong district.

Especially after the successful "district robbery and fort destruction" event on September 1, 1930, Vo Liet communal house was one of the places where the Soviet government was established, the headquarters of the Red Peasant Association. In 1947, it was the place where the Congress of the Regional Party Committee of Zone IV was held to direct the resistance against the French with the presence of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, Major General Nguyen Son, and revolutionary Ho Tung Mau.

Vo Liet Communal House has been ranked as a national relic according to Decision 1288 of the Ministry of Culture and Information and is currently being gradually restored and upgraded. Thanh Chuong District is planning to use Vo Liet Communal House as a library and traditional museum. Every year on commemorative days, commune leaders and people organize incense burning ceremonies to commemorate and review traditions here.

2.Nguyen Duy family church,in Dien Trang village, Thanh Phong commune, Thanh Chuong district. The place where Nghe An Provincial Party Committee chose as its secret headquarters from September 1930 to February 1931. This was the time when the Soviet movement was at its peak, especially in Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Do Luong, Nam Dan districts...

In this complex, there is also the Dien Trang sui tree, an ancient tree with many caves used to hide flags, leaflets and documents of the Provincial Party Committee. The Nguyen Duy church relic, the sui tree and the churches of the Nguyen Ba, Nguyen Ich families... in the area have been recognized as historical and cultural relics by the Ministry of Culture and Information according to Decision No. 1288 QD-VH dated November 16, 1988. Every year, when Tet comes, Spring comes, local leaders and elders with their children and grandchildren organize incense offering ceremonies and talk about traditions with their children and grandchildren.

3.Nguyen Dinh Kinh Churchin Dong Xuan village, Xuan Lieu commune, Nam Duong district, now Xuan Tuong commune (Thanh Chuong). According to the relic records, this is the place where the first Nghe An Provincial Party Congress took place, electing the official Executive Committee (EC) consisting of 7 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Tiem was elected as Secretary. Every year, on holidays and Tet, descendants gather to offer incense and review traditions.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dung (middle) - the eldest grandson of revolutionary soldier Nguyen Dinh Kinh, is taking care of the church and burning incense with his children and grandchildren to commemorate their ancestors at the relic.
