(Baonghean) - Cua Lo town has urgently promoted and publicized activities, urban beautification, and upgraded tourism infrastructure... in order to attract tourists to this beautiful coastal town.

Many restaurants along Binh Minh Street have been recognized by the Cua Lo Town People's Committee as meeting the standards of "civilized restaurants". Therefore, every year these restaurants always prepare thoroughly in all aspects to satisfy tourists visiting Cua Lo beach. One restaurant owner shared: "From the service style of the staff, they are trained and guided to be thorough with a thoughtful and courteous attitude."

Furthermore, we always have a readily available supply of fresh seafood at publicly listed and reasonable prices, without any haggling or overcharging. Our restaurant facilities are also renovated and upgraded annually to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers."

Thu Thuy ward is a key area for tourism service development in the town, with over 5,000 inhabitants, of which approximately 1,700 are employed in tourism services. The ward has over 130 kiosks along the beach and nearly 140 hotels and guesthouses serving food and accommodation needs.

Additionally, the area has a seafood market attracting nearly 500 businesses specializing in selling fresh seafood, supplying food to restaurants, hotels, and tourists. Annually, revenue from tourism accounts for 70-80% of the total production value in the ward.

Identifying the main source of revenue from tourism-related businesses, the local government and each household in the ward have focused on participating in urban beautification. Simultaneously, attention has been paid to environmental sanitation, surveying and rearranging four garbage collection points along Binh Minh street according to regulations, and coordinating with the town to install 11 additional pairs of public garbage bins in the ward. Furthermore, 100% of businesses have purchased sufficient garbage rakes and bins to ensure proper environmental sanitation...

Furthermore, in 2017, Cua Lo also focused on developing new products such as cultural and artistic tourism (enjoying folk songs and dances at the beach park), entertainment, sightseeing, and organizing events at the Vinpearl Cua Hoi resort. Coordination and collaboration between the three localities: Cua Lo - Nam Dan - Vinh and other provinces were implemented to create many attractive products to attract tourists. The coastal town aimed to welcome 1,817,000 visitors in the 2017 tourist season, a 10% increase compared to 2016; bringing tourism service revenue to 1,633 billion VND, a 15% increase compared to the previous year.

Speaking with us, Mr. Vo Van Tho, Head of the Culture and Information Department of Cua Lo Town, said: This year, Cua Lo continues to implement the project "Strengthening state management of tourism in the town area in the period 2016 - 2020". Accordingly, activities serving tourism business in the area are strictly controlled and transparent.

Strengthen strict management of prices, quality, and food safety and hygiene. Require hotels and restaurants in the area to publicly display prices, and daily price checks will be conducted at these establishments.

Simultaneously, direct the effective implementation of the "5 no's" and "3 yes's" policies, especially regarding street vending, four-wheeled electric vehicle services, and jet skis, ensuring security, order, and safety for tourists; strengthen inspections and handle cases of commercial fraud, selling counterfeit or substandard goods to protect the rights of tourists.

In parallel with the above, we will actively carry out the task of ensuring environmental hygiene and a green, clean, and beautiful urban landscape, and strictly handle acts that harm the tourism environment. We will strengthen food safety inspections in the area, resolutely preventing unsafe or substandard food from being served to the people and tourists.

Rescue, relief, and disaster prevention efforts are prioritized, with a medical team on constant standby for maritime emergencies, equipped with necessary medicines and equipment to ensure the safety of tourists. Equipment, resources, and personnel are being strengthened at the Disaster Prevention and Rescue Center to ensure readiness for any situation, guaranteeing the absolute safety of tourists.
