Mark Zuckerberg announces he's expecting his second child.

Mark Zuckerberg announced the happy news on his personal page and he hopes this time it will be another baby girl.

According to USA Today, the Facebook CEO announced that he and his wife are expecting their second child.

"After struggling to conceive Max, we didn't know what would happen or if we'd ever be able to have another child. When Priscilla and I found out she was pregnant again, our first hope was that the baby would develop healthily. Next, I hoped it would be another girl. I always thought there was no greater gift than having a sister, and I hope Max feels the same way," Zuckerberg wrote.

Mark Zuckerberg has three sisters, while his wife of Chinese descent, Priscilla Chan, also has two sisters.

"We have become better people thanks to the presence of strong women in our lives—our sisters, mothers, and female friends. We are excited to welcome our new member and will do our best to raise her to be another strong woman," he wrote.

Zuckerberg and his wife, both 32, have shared about the difficulties and challenges they faced on their journey to parenthood. The couple had experienced three miscarriages before having Max. Their daughter is now 15 months old.

When announcing the birth of their first daughter in December 2015, the Facebook CEO also declared that he would donate 99% of his Facebook shares to improve the quality of life for his daughter's generation.
