Provincial Party Secretary: Don't let the prolonged Tet holiday affect work efficiency

(Baonghean.vn) - Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that right after Tet, all levels, sectors and units should urgently focus on work, not letting the idea of ​​Tet joy and spring travel last for too long, affecting work efficiency.

On the morning of February 2, right after the tree planting launching ceremony 'Forever grateful to Uncle Ho' in Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to hear the situation before and during the Dinh Dau Tet 2017 and directed some key contents in the coming time and some socio-economic projects.

The report of the Provincial People's Committee said that the sectors and units have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the regulations of the Central and the province on practicing thrift and fighting waste. The organization of the New Year celebration was joyful, healthy, safe and economical. The preparation of goods for the New Year was thoughtful, quality was guaranteed, prices were stable, meeting the people's need for essential goods.

All levels and sectors have paid much attention to organizing the Spring Festival for policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged families, lonely elderly people, homeless children, homeless children, and those in especially difficult circumstances. There were no hungry households during the Tet holiday. People celebrated the New Year happily, healthily, safely, and economically.

The total budget for implementing regular subsidies, Tet gifts for meritorious people, social protection from the state budget; gifts from units, businesses, and individuals to meritorious people, the poor, and children in especially difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year of Dinh Dau in 2017 is over 425,342 billion VND.

Of which, the budget for regular allowances for meritorious people and social protection in January and February 2017 was 326,377 billion VND; gifts for the subjects (poor people, meritorious people, children in especially difficult circumstances) was 98,965 billion VND, of which socialized gifts were 47,012 billion VND.

The political security situation is basically well ensured, key targets are absolutely protected. Food hygiene and safety are good, no epidemics or poisonings occur in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong assessed: This Tet took place smoothly, people were happy, excited, and safe, creating a great consensus among the entire Party Committee and people of the province. Before Tet, the working atmosphere of State agencies and the working attitude of civil servants were positive and urgent.

State agencies, agencies working during Tet such as armed forces, electricity, health... serve attentively, have plans, and leave no room for negligence.

"It is necessary to bring the spirit of working atmosphere right from the first working day to resolve and meet the requirements of people and businesses," emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh assessed that for the 2017 Lunar New Year, the province strictly implemented the Secretariat's Directive on organizing the 2017 Lunar New Year, not organizing fireworks displays, not wishing New Year greetings to superiors; and carefully implementing the regime and policies for the poor, people with meritorious services and policy families.

The Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the province had organized healthy entertainment venues that attracted and met the people's needs; goods met the needs, prices were not increased; propaganda work was paid attention to and well implemented. The security and order situation in the area was basically absolutely guaranteed, without any complicated or prominent incidents.

The Provincial Party Secretary agreed with the report of the Provincial People's Committee on the situation of the Lunar New Year 2017, which clearly pointed out 8 tasks that need to be focused on directing and implementing after the Lunar New Year 2017, especially after the Lunar New Year, all levels, sectors and units urgently focus on work, implementing the 2017 plan tasks in all fields, not letting the idea of ​​​​Happy New Year and Spring travel last long, affecting work efficiency.
