With the above method, the meals of boarding students often have enough green vegetables, not to mention that they also learn how to grow vegetables from teachers to apply in their home gardens.
In addition, taking advantage of leftover food from boarding meals, each year the school's teaching staff raises about 10 pigs, contributing nearly 1 ton of pork to the students' meals.

“Currently, the school has 330 boarding students staying at the school. Previously, when the self-growing and self-raising model had not been applied, the food source for the children at meals was very difficult. Especially during the rainy season when the roads were difficult to travel. But since applying the above model, vegetables have always been enough to supply the children at meals, especially during the main season. In addition, previously, leftover food from boarding meals had to be thrown away or given to the locals to raise livestock. But now it has been fully utilized.

Many families not only have the initiative to source green vegetables, but also have them to sell at the market," said Mr. Ho Duc Toan, teacher in charge of the Youth Union, Team and managing boarding students at Tri Le Ethnic Boarding Secondary School.
