A blend of eucalyptus essential oil and lemon essential oil is a great combination that repels mosquitoes without producing any harmful chemicals.
This mixture also gives off a pleasant, relaxing scent that helps to relax the mind. In addition, both oils have very good antiseptic properties when applied to the skin. Therefore, to avoid mosquitoes, apply this solution to the skin regularly, especially at night.
2. Use coffee grounds
Mosquitoes thrive in damp, stagnant water. If you can’t completely dry out the wet areas, sprinkle coffee grounds over the area to prevent them from breeding.
Coffee grounds will dehydrate mosquito eggs and prevent them from hatching, thereby preventing mosquitoes from developing.
3. Garlic
When you eat a lot of garlic, your pores will release garlic oil. Your skin will be protected by garlic oil which acts as a barrier to prevent mosquito attacks.
So, eat garlic regularly, but if you don't like this spice, make a spray with crushed garlic and apply it on your skin or spray around areas where mosquitoes often appear to repel them.
4. Red cedar
Along with other natural mosquito repellent herbs, you can use red cedar. Boil small pieces of red cedar in water and then spray it on your plants, yard, and outdoor areas. Due to the natural chemical properties of this wood, mosquitoes will stay away and not be able to breed.
5. Mint
Peppermint is a great natural herbal remedy. Place peppermint leaves around your home to repel mosquitoes or use peppermint essential oil to rub on your skin or spray around the room to keep mosquitoes away.
Alternatively, you can use diluted peppermint mouthwash instead.
