(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Van Dinh Ngoc - a disabled boy who drives a buffalo cart to pick up and drop off students in Chua hamlet, Thanh Khai commune (Thanh Chuong) has just announced that the program '7th Wish' about him will air on the occasion of Dinh Dau Tet.

As reported by Nghe An newspaper in the article “Disabled young man uses buffalo cart to pick up and drop off students”, Mr. Van Dinh Ngoc, although disabled, in poor health, and having difficulty walking, has used a buffalo cart to pick up and drop off dozens of children (in Chua hamlet, Van Ngoc hamlet, Thanh Khai commune) to go to kindergarten for over a year. Regardless of the sun, wind, rain or cold, he regularly drives the children to school twice a day, in the morning he takes the children to school, and in the afternoon he carefully picks them up and returns them to each house. Mr. Ngoc’s actions have touched many people.

After Nghe An newspaper reported the incident, many local and central press agencies came to investigate and reported the news. In mid-January 2017, Vietnam Television also went to Ngoc’s house to film the program “The 7th Wish”. Ngoc said that the program’s production team worked for nearly a week with many scenes filmed at his house, the kindergarten and on the road where his buffalo cart passed.

On this occasion, the program “7th Wish” gave Mr. Ngoc a new buffalo cart to “practice his profession”. This cart is worth 15 million VND, has a structure similar to Mr. Ngoc’s current buffalo cart, but is lower, parts such as the yoke, shaft, cart body… are all made of metal.

Ngoc shared: “A few days after the crew returned to start filming the program, they gave me a new buffalo cart. I was very happy and surprised to receive this gift.”

The car that the “7th Wish” program just donated is currently parked in the middle of Mr. Ngoc’s yard, and has not been “tested” yet. The reason the new car has not been used yet, according to Mr. Ngoc, is that the car is quite nice, but some of the design parts are not suitable for disabled people like him and children. The car owner’s seat is in the front, in the middle of the car, a bit high, making it difficult for Mr. Ngoc to get in and out, sit and handle situations when the car has an accident on the road. There is no “steel fence” around the car to protect it and there is no door at the back to open and close, which is inconvenient and unsafe for children. In addition, the car’s roof is close to the trunk, so when driving in heavy rain, water will splash into the trunk… Mr. Ngoc plans to have the mechanic repair this car in the near future, then “test” it, but for now he will still use the old car because it is safer.

Mr. Ngoc said that the program "7th Wish" about him will be broadcast on VTV3 at 2:00 p.m. on January 28 (the first day of the Lunar New Year).
