"Roosters are often quarrelsome, aggressive and crow at each other," Hong Kong fortuneteller Thierry Chow told AFP.
Trump's inauguration was met with protests in the US and he angered China, raising fears of a trade war between the world's top two economies.
Chow predicts that Mr. Trump will continue to ruffle many feathers during his first year in office.“There will be more strikes and even riots,” Chow predicted.
Mr. Trump is a Dog, with the Earth element, compatible with the Fire element of the year of the Rooster, he is predicted to have a favorable new year.
Feng shui master Alion Yeo believes the US economy will benefit because the Year of the Rooster also contains the element of Metal, which represents money and stocks.
“Trump’s fortunes show that he will prosper, so the US stock market will do well in 2017,” Yeo said.
However, he said Trump's luck would be temporary.“He will have smooth sailing in 2017, but that will not happen in 2018 (the Year of the Dog - Trump's zodiac year),” Yeo said.
Yeo said the world would look like a sick cow in 2017, with an even bleaker outlook than the tumultuous 2016.
"It doesn't even have the strength to stand up and eat the grass around it," he said, adding that Europe would face many difficulties.
The Metal element represents Western countries, especially Europe, and will be under pressure from the Fire element of the Rooster year because Fire overcomes Metal, Yeo explained.
Britain's vote to leave the EU (Brexit) and the refugee crisis will bring more chaos to the continent in 2017, Chow said.
"I don't think things will calm down," she assessed.
“This is going to be a year of heated debate,” she added.
