Arrested 8 subjects in transnational drug trafficking ring
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 21, Ky Son District Police successfully dismantled a large-scale transnational drug trafficking ring operating professionally in border communes.
Since the beginning of 2017, detectives of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Ky Son District Police have discovered a drug trafficking ring that regularly operates in the forest in the Truong Son village area of Nam Can border commune with very sophisticated operating rules led by Ha Cho Po (born in 1973, residing in Pu Quac II village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son), who has a previous conviction for fraud and property appropriation.
The subject regularly transported drugs from Laos to Vietnam, then handed them over to Lau Y Tru (born in 1977, residing in Truong Son village, Nam Can), who had a previous conviction for resisting law enforcement officers, for consumption.

With the active and proactive fight to eradicate the above-mentioned network, on March 18, 2017, the Criminal Investigation Department of Ky Son District Police held a meeting and established a special project coded 317M to fight. After many days of tracking the target, at 8:00 a.m. on March 21, the Specialized Department received a report that a group of subjects had entered the C5 camp area of Lau Y Tru.

Realizing that this was the right time to solve the case, the police force surrounded and arrested 8 subjects, including: Ha Cho Po (born in 1973, residing in Pu Quac II village, Na Ngoi, Ky Son, had 1 previous conviction for fraud and property appropriation); Lau Ba Go (born in 1992, residing in Truong Son village, Nam Can, Ky Son (has a criminal record for resisting people on official duty); Vi Duy Manh (born in 1996, residing in Na Khuong village, Na Loi commune, Ky Son); Lo Van Hau (born in 1994, residing in Hoa Son, Ta Ca, Ky Son. (Hau is currently a second-year student at Vinh University, majoring in primary education); Lo Van Tinh (born in 1997, residing in Hoa Son, Ta Ca, Ky Son); Vi Van Duy (born in 1989, residing in Na Luong II, Huu Kiem, Ky Son); Lu Van Tuan (born in 1987, residing in Canh village, Ta Ca, Ky Son).
The seized evidence included more than 20 grams of heroin, 400 synthetic drug pills, 2 homemade guns, 13 bullets, 10 million VND in cash, 2 motorbikes and many other evidences.
Currently, Ky Son District Police have appraised the above-mentioned seized exhibits and continue to expand the investigation, arresting related subjects in this illegal drug trafficking ring./.
