Dairy business purchasing corn destroyed by tornado

(Baonghean.vn) - After the weather became sunny, many corn fields damaged by tornadoes in Tam Son commune, Anh Son district were purchased by dairy companies.

As reported at 4am on March 21, a large tornado occurred and damaged many corn areas of Anh Son district people, of which Tam Son commune had 67 ha/250 ha.

To overcome the consequences and reduce damage to people, local authorities have contacted dairy and beef cattle companies to purchase corn for people.

With corn areas affected with a 50% yield reduction, people can sell each sao for an average of 420 - 430 thousand VND/sao, while areas that are not damaged have an estimated yield of 1.7 - 2.2 tons/sao and are purchased at 850 thousand VND/ton.

Although the price is only half, it has somewhat reduced the damage to farmers.

For damaged corn areas in other communes such as Dinh Son, Cam Son, Binh Son, because the corn plants are still too young, they cannot be consumed yet.
