Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang has just been appointed as the new Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, replacing Mr. Le Hai Binh. Thus, Ms. Hang becomes the fourth female spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to date.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang is 45 years old this year. Before being appointed as Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Hang had nearly 20 years of working experience at the Department of Press and Information (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in many positions from specialist to Deputy Director of the Department of Press and Information, before becoming Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in the United Kingdom for the 2012-2015 term.

It is known that Mr. Le Hai Binh will hold the position of Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs until the end of March 2017, before moving to a new position as Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, born on December 2, 1972 in Hanoi, hometown in Hong Bang District, Hai Phong City. She graduated from the Russian Translation Department, Hanoi University of Foreign Languages ​​(now Hanoi University) in 1994. She has a Master's degree in Diplomacy and International Communication from the University of the West of England (UK) in 2015.

Ms. Hang joined the diplomatic service in 1996 and worked at the Press and Information Department. From May 2001 to December 2004, she was an Attaché at the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation. From January 2012 to May 2015, she was a Minister Counselor, the second person at the Embassy of Vietnam in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
