Mother died after bag was robbed, child hospitalized
Ms. Nhi was driving her mother home when two young men approached her and snatched her handbag. Falling onto the road, Ms. Huyen died, and the unfortunate victim's daughter suffered a miscarriage.
Binh Tan District Police are coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Police Department to extract camera footage to search for two young men who snatched the handbag that caused the death of Ms. Le Mong Huyen (46 years old, in Binh Tan District).
According to initial information, on the evening of February 15, Ms. Tran Le Tuyet Nhi (22 years old, living in Binh Tan district) was pregnant and drove her mother, Ms. Huyen, from An Suong intersection (district 12) to An Lac street (Binh Tan district).
While Nhi and her daughter were traveling on Highway 1, Ward 7, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District, they were suddenly approached by two young men on a blue motorbike who snatched the pregnant woman's bag.

The bad guy's attempt was unsuccessful but caused the mother and child to fall onto the street. The perpetrator quickly escaped towards An Lac street.
Ms. Huyen was taken to the emergency room but passed away at 11:00 p.m. the same day. Ms. Nhi suffered a miscarriage and had to be taken to Hung Vuong Hospital for emergency treatment.
Previously, in Ho Chi Minh City, there were many robberies that caused victims to fall to their deaths. In June 2016, Ms. Le Thi Bich Tuyen (25 years old, from Dong Thap) was sitting on a motorbike taxi at the intersection of Vo Thi Sau - Thach Thi Thanh (District 1) when a group of young men suddenly approached and snatched her handbag, causing the victim to fall to her death.
Another woman also died while chasing two phone snatchers on Tan Son Nhi Street, Tan Phu District in early September 2016.
