Hyundai has just revealed the 2018 Accent at the International Auto Show Canada taking place in Toronto. In the 5th generation, the Accent's appearance has been almost completely renewed with a more youthful and powerful overall look. The car has many similarities with its older brother, the new Elantra, such as the hexagonal grille, headlights, taillights and overall design. It brings a more harmonious, balanced and elegant feeling to this low-cost B-class sedan.

Not only the appearance, Accent 2018 also has been upgraded by Hyundai in both width and length, although it is still significantly smaller than Elantra. The interior of the car is completely redesigned, inspired by the new Tucson. Accent has a sportier interior thanks to the two-tone color combination of black with red accents. A 7-inch entertainment screen is provided as an option while a rear camera is a standard feature.

Under the hood, Hyundai equips the 2018 Accent with an improved 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with a slightly reduced capacity of 132 horsepower and 161 Nm of torque. Although the capacity is slightly reduced, the Korean car company said the biggest benefit is reduced fuel consumption. The engine comes with two options: 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

It is expected that the selling price of Accent 2018 will be announced by Hyundai along with the official selling date in the third quarter of this year.
