The US awaits a new missile launch in North Korea.

U.S. military representatives believe North Korea could conduct a new missile launch within the next few days, the Associated Press reported, citing unnamed U.S. officials.

According to the news agency, the US military noted movement on the launch pad as well as the construction of a special VIP box for the country's leader in the city of Vosan on the Japanese coast.

U.S. officials stated that the type of missile North Korea intends to fire is not yet known.
