Four farmers prosecuted for gambling for money.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 20, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghi Loc District Police issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute four defendants for gambling (playing Lieng card game for money).

Four suspects were arrested.

Four individuals, including Phung Anh Tuan (born 1995) residing in Long Xuan hamlet; Hoang Quoc Viet (born 1980) residing in Long Dong hamlet, Nghi Khanh commune; Nguyen Dinh Hong (born 1974) residing in Hamlet 5, Nghi Hop commune; and Phung Duc Cong (born 1968) residing in Dong Quyen block, Nghi Thu ward, Cua Lo town, are being investigated for gambling activities.

Earlier, at 2:30 PM on March 15th, a patrol team from the Nghi Loc District Police discovered a group gambling at the house of Mr. Hoang Van Nghia (born in 1969) in Khanh Nghia hamlet, Nghi Khanh commune. The team raided the house and caught four individuals red-handed.

Evidence seized in the case.

Items seized from the gambling den included: 8,430,000 VND, one deck of playing cards, and three mobile phones. Among the four suspects, Phung Duc Cong had previously been fined by the Cua Lo Town Police for gambling.

The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
