Channel News Asia quoted an unnamed police source as saying that So Yong Ra, 41, a former Air Koryo flight attendant, was Kim Jong-nam’s mistress. Police are searching for this woman for questioning.

"So is from Pyongyang. She is believed to have lived in Macau with Kim Jong-nam since 2001 and eventually married him," the source said. "So worked for Air Koryo from 1992 to 1998. She studied at the Pyongyang University of Music and Dance."

However, the source did not reveal why Malaysian authorities wanted to question So. Media reports previously said that Kim Jong-nam had two wives, at least one mistress, and several children. His second wife, Lee Hye-Kyong, had a son and a daughter.

A North Korean man with a diplomatic passport named Kim Chol was murdered at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13. Malaysian police said the victim died from exposure to VX nerve agent. The two female suspects who directly attacked him said they were hired to take part in a prank video and did not know it was a murder.

North Korea only confirmed that citizen Kim Chol was dead, while South Korea and Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister said it was actually Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
