Found the grave of an identified martyr in Laos

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 17, in Xieng Khouang province, Laos, the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command found and exhumed a martyr's grave with his name, hometown and date of birth.

After a period of searching, the unit determined the location of the martyr's grave at Hill 500, Kham Ma Nien village, Noong Het district, Xieng Khouang province. Digging more than one meter deep, the unit recovered a set of remains, hammocks, ropes, and a glass jar containing a piece of paper stating: Martyr Le Van Kiem, rank of Private First Class, position of liaison; hometown: Bich Son village, Gia Van commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province; born in 1955, enlisted in December 1972, died on October 30, 1973.

The relic clearly states the hometown, year of birth and date of death of Martyr Le Van Kiem.

Currently, the Military Command's Collection Team of Nghe An Province has collected, registered the martyrs' papers, brought them back to preserve and worship at the unit's worship room in Pon Xa Van Town, Xieng Khouang Province, Laos, waiting for the day to bring them back to the country for burial.

In the dry season of 2016 - 2017 up to now, the Collection Team of the Military Command of Nghe An province has searched and collected 84 martyrs' remains in the three provinces of Vientiane, Xieng Khouang and Xay Xom Bun in Laos, including 2 martyrs' remains named Vu Van Khanh (or Khanh) found in Tha Choc village; Lo Van Hop found in So village, Muong Tec district, Xieng Khouang province, Laos.
