This year's "Primary School Student Exchange" festival gathered 220 outstanding faces of 5th grade students from 30 schools in Vinh City.
Before the contest, many parents shared with each other information that the results of the contest could be the basis for students to get extra points when registering for Dang Thai Mai Secondary School - considered the city's gifted school in the coming school year.
Present at the competition on the morning of March 29, many parents of students came to watch. After 50 minutes of the "Number Challenge" and "Beloved Vietnamese" competitions, many parents could not hide their anxiety and restlessness.
The parent of Khanh A, class 5G, Hung Dung 1 Primary School, a former high school teacher, even skipped a class to watch her child do the test. After hearing that her child had completed about 80% of the test, she was quite satisfied and hoped that her child's "door" to Dang Thai Mai Secondary School would be easier.
However, responding to the information that the results of the "Primary School Student Exchange" festival were added to the entrance exam score of Dang Thai Mai Secondary School, Mr. Thai Khac Tan - Head of the Vinh City Education Department affirmed: Currently, the department has not yet developed a plan to enter Dang Thai Mai School in the next school year. Therefore, the above information is not accurate.

It is known that this is the second year the "Primary School Student Exchange" festival has been organized by the City Department of Education and Training. Participating in the exchange program, students will be able to participate in many exciting and interesting activities.
In the individual competition, students will participate in the "Olympic playground of subjects" in the form of the "Golden Bell" competition, "Number Challenge" and "Beloved Vietnamese". In the team competition, students will participate in physical games, vote on pictures and participate in intellectual games between school teams.
In terms of purpose, this is considered an intellectual playground for primary school students. Thereby, it aims to create conditions for students to exchange and learn in many fields of Mathematics, Vietnamese, Science, History - Geography - Fine Arts - Foreign Languages, Information Technology, practice life skills, practice group work skills, communication, boldness, confidence in front of the group. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to contribute to promoting teaching and learning activities in schools.
According to many teachers and parents, the exam questions this year were quite difficult. In particular, the Math subject had sections that students were new to, so the number of students who got 20/20 questions correct was very small. On the school side, before bringing students to participate in the "Primary School Student Exchange Day", they had to organize and test to select the team. At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 first prizes, 13 second prizes, 20 third prizes and 34 encouragement prizes to the participating teams.
