(Baonghean.vn) - Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Commander of Military Region 4, led a delegation from the Military Region 4 Command to inspect the results of military and national defense tasks in Nghean.Units under the Provincial Military Command of Nghe An.

Over the course of three days, the delegation inspected the 4th Economic-Defense Brigade, the Military Command of Que Phong District, and the Military Command of Quynh Luu District, all under the Military Command of Nghe An Province.

At the units, the Commander and the working group of the Military Region inspected the dissemination, implementation, and execution of directives and resolutions from higher levels regarding local military and national defense work in the first quarter of 2017.

The Commander of the Military Region commended the achievements of the units in the past period, pointed out shortcomings and weaknesses that need to be addressed, and emphasized that in the coming time: Economic-Defense Brigade 4, the Military Command of Que Phong District, and the Military Command of Quynh Luu District need to continue to do a good job of advising the Party Committee and the government on building strong local armed forces. They should proactively coordinate with other forces to thoroughly understand the local situation.

Regularly strengthen and build political, economic, military, and scientific potential in the local defense zone. Strictly maintain the duty roster, combat readiness, garrison duty, and conduct realistic training and exercises in the assigned area. Strengthen the establishment of order, discipline, management, and training. Proactively coordinate with the Military Region's agencies to promote civilian affairs, assist the people in building new rural areas and eradicating hunger and poverty; be ready to mobilize forces and equipment to participate in disaster prevention and relief, search and rescue; and build a solidarity relationship between the military and the people in the assigned area.
