Trump left the solemn ceremony announcing the decree without signing the document.

US President Donald Trump left a ceremony to sign an executive order related to trade issues, having previously forgotten to put his signature on the document, the Hill newspaper reported.

In the video that was widely circulated on social media, Trump can be clearly seen entering the Oval Office to announce the decree, but he left the room before signing the document. Noticing this, Vice President Michael Pence tried to catch up with the head of state, but Trump did not return.

Mr. Pence then returned to his desk, picked up the document, and left the room. As the newspaper noted, it is customary for the U.S. president to sign legislation directly in front of the press in the Oval Office.

As the newspaper writes, Mr Trump apparently left the room after a reporter asked the head of state a question about Michael Flynn, the President's former national security adviser.
