Collision with excavator, couple injured and dead

(Baonghean.vn) - A husband and wife were riding a motorbike when they collided with an excavator in Dong Hop commune (Quy Hop). The husband fell to the ground and died, while the wife was seriously injured.

The accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 48, passing through Dong Thuan hamlet, Dong Hop commune (Quy Hop). The deceased victim was Nguyen Nga Thanh, and his wife, Le Thi Quyet, residing in Mo hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune, was seriously injured.

According to local residents, at that time, while the excavator was moving across the road, a motorbike driving at high speed crashed into the excavator and was thrown off.

Two people on the motorbike fell onto the road, the man died on the spot, the wife was taken to the emergency room in critical condition.

After the accident, traffic police of Quy Hop district police were present to protect the scene and investigate the cause of the incident.
