Receiving gifts to sponsor disadvantaged children

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 27, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund held a ceremony to receive sponsorship, present gifts and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Outreach Australia. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam Children's Fund and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An Province.

Also attending were representatives of the Children's Support Funds of Tra Vinh, Ha Tinh, Ben Tre and Dak Lak provinces.

The total number of gifts given to children in especially difficult circumstances this time includes 200 bicycles, 100 wheelchairs and 200 gifts in kind from the organization Vietnam Outreach.

This is a humanitarian organization that has conducted many charitable activities in Vietnam in recent times. Over the past 30 years, the organization has helped more than 20,503 disadvantaged and disabled children worth over 10 billion VND and 9.4 million USD to conduct surgeries for delta fibrosis, cleft lip, cleft palate, and donate wheelchairs...

In Nghe An, in 9 years, Vietnam Outreach through the Children's Support Fund has sponsored more than 3 billion VND to give gifts, wheelchairs, and free surgeries for over 300 children with delta muscle atrophy, 63 children with cleft lip and cleft palate, and supported 100 million VND to build a kindergarten in Thanh Chuong... And most recently, 200 gifts for children in difficult circumstances in the province.

At the gift receiving ceremony, the representative of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on behalf of the People's Committee of Nghe An province sincerely thanked Vietnam Outreach for its attention to disabled children in difficult circumstances in Nghe An; at the same time, committed to creating the most favorable conditions, delivering gifts promptly and directly to the recipients.
