On the afternoon of May 4, answering questions from the press regarding the direction of resolving the incident atHoanh village, Dong Tam commune, My Duc district, Hanoi in the coming time, Mr. Mai Tien Dung (Minister, Head of the Government Office) affirmed.The authorities will intervene in a spirit of transparency and fairness.

"If the government is wrong, it must admit its mistake to the people. If the people are wrong, it must take responsibility before the law. If My Duc district and Dong Tam commune make mistakes in land management and use, in handling complaints and denunciations, and do not properly resolve their responsibilities, they will be considered depending on the severity," said Mr. Dung.

According to Mr. Dung, the key point of the matter is that in 1980, the Government leaders signed a decision to hand over 208 hectares of land of Dong Tam commune and some surrounding areas to the Ministry of National Defense to build Mieu Mon airport.

In 1981, the People's Committee of Ha Son Binh province (old) assigned land and boundary markers to the Ministry of National Defense. In 2014, the People's Committee of Hanoi re-measured the entire land and found a difference of 28.7 hectares. The people of Dong Tam commune said that this area was agricultural land. Since then, there has been a dispute and the People's Committee of My Duc district at that time did not resolve it reasonably.

Mr. Mai Tien Dung said, when the incident happened,The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee was assigned by the Secretariat and the Prime Minister to have a direct dialogue with the people of Dong Tam commune. This is a very responsible dialogue by the head of the City. Hanoi has also announced an inspection.comprehensive management and use from the past to the present with the land area of ​​Mieu Mon airport (located in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district).

In addition, implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the Ministry of Public Security will re-examine the entire prosecution process, prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and detain a number of people in Dong Tam commune.Currently, the competent authorities of Hanoi and the Ministry of Public Security are carrying out this task.

Previously, on April 15, a number of residents of Hoanh village, Dong Tam commune, My Duc district (Hanoi) were arrested near Senh field in this commune. On the same day, residents detained 38 officers and riot police.
