US Secretary of State: Nuclear deal with Iran has failed

The US nuclear deal with Iran has failed, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced.

Mr. Tillerson announced that the deal with Iran had failed.

According to Mr. Tillerson, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action does not allow Iran to deny nuclear status.

"This deal only postpones Iran's goal of becoming a nuclear state. It only reflects a failed approach," the US Secretary of State said at a press conference.

At the same time, Tillerson called the policy of "strategic patience" towards Iran "unsuccessful" and stressed that it is very important to respond to the "threat" this country contains.
