Dozens of houses collapsed and had their roofs blown off by tornadoes and hail

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 3, a tornado accompanied by hail suddenly hit several districts in western Nghe An. According to statistics, more than 10 houses and buildings collapsed and had their roofs blown off.

According to information from Tuong Duong district, in Luong Minh commune, the tornado and hail lasted for 1 hour, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

According to witnesses, hail and tornadoes blew off the roofs of 10 houses in the resettlement area of ​​Xop Mat village. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

In Que Phong district, the tornado occurred from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Tien Phong commune. The tornado completely collapsed 3 houses in the villages: Na Den, Dan 1, Dan 2. The tornado also caused the roofs of 8 other houses in Na Den, Muong Hin villages to be blown off, and a garage of Tien Phong Primary School was damaged.

Immediately after the tornado, leaders of Que Phong district directly went to encourage the affected families. Accordingly, 3 families whose houses were completely collapsed were supported with 15 million VND/family to promptly overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. The government also directed the functional forces to quickly use many measures to support the affected people to overcome the consequences./.
