These days, at the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station and Seaport construction site (Nghi Loc district), hundreds of workers from 7 contractors are actively installing the production lines that have just been imported from the Federal Republic of Germany. The first production line of the 3 grinding stations, with a capacity of 300 tons of cement/hour, has completed about 70% of the installation volume.
Among hundreds of workers working 24/24 at the construction site. Mr. Bernd Kӧsken, from the Federal Republic of Germany, always follows the stages, from dismantling the machinery in the package to installing it on the field. Although busy working, Bernd Kӧsken's face always shows excitement. According to him, being able to go to Nghe An, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh, to work and supervise the installation of the cement grinding station line is a lucky opportunity. Previously, he had heard many Germans talk about this land with their notes and now being able to come directly to feel it is a "lucky fate".
Mr. Bernd Kӧsken was really impressed by the friendliness of Vietnamese workers from different regions working at the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station. In particular, he really liked the "sincerity" of the Nghe An workers and affirmed that: "Nghe An people are very friendly, heartfelt... I am very happy that we are cooperating to develop together".

Up to now, with the joint efforts of all workers of domestic and foreign companies, the clinker warehouse of over 100,000 tons has been completed, the grinding station's machine clusters have been put on the rack and are connecting the stages, the cement production line system after the grinding station has been installed, the silo columns to store powdered cement have been basically completed... All of this, together with the seaport construction activities, has created a bustling large-scale project in Nghi Thiet sea area.
Taking us on a tour of some stages of the project, Mr. Cao Xuan Vinh - Deputy Director of Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station shared: “The goal of The Vissai Cement Group and Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company is to put the project into operation on the occasion of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30) this year; therefore, we regularly urge contractors to speed up the progress. To promote the progress as well as ensure the quality requirements of the project, the team of site supervisors divide into shifts, closely following the stages 24/24h...”.
With the set goals, the leaders of The Vissai Cement Group regularly meet with representatives of the contractors. On that basis, the units promptly mobilize human resources and equipment to install the production line as required. The Group's Chairman - Mr. Hoang Manh Truong and the Group's General Director - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Oanh personally attend the construction site every week to inspect and supervise the construction.

Through the discussion, Mr. Hoang Manh Truong affirmed: “Song Lam Cement Factory, along with the grinding station system and Nghi Thiet Seaport, are key projects of the Group and the whole country. Quickly putting the projects into operation is even more meaningful in promoting the socio-economic development of the provinces in the North Central region. With this awareness, we have very high requirements for contractors, both to speed up the progress and to ensure the quality of the projects. In particular, accelerating the construction of Nghi Thiet Seaport has great strategic significance for us to reach out to the ocean; because when put into operation, ships of over 70,000 tons can enter to load and unload goods. And when upgraded to an international port, it will bring into play a great advantage in regional connectivity, serving the development process”.
