Anh Vien won silver medal in 1,500m freestyle at Arena Pro Swim Series. The photo of TP chasing is extremely attractive.

Competing with Anh Vien in this event are many strong swimmers such as: former Pan American Games and US Open champion Ryan G, American player Sierra Schmidt,... But Anh Vien and her opponents created an extremely attractive chase.

Anh Vien started the race very well to continuously lead in the first 400m. But then, she was overtaken by Ryan G, Bi Rose was still chasing fiercely behind,... With great determination, Anh Vien still maintained a stable speed to finish in second place, after Ryan G, with a time of 16 minutes 28.18 seconds.

According to statistics from the International Swimming Federation (FINA), Anh Vien's achievement has deeply broken the Vietnamese national record set by herself at the Grand Prix Swimming Tournament in Charlotte 2014 of 16 minutes 46.42 seconds.

In recent years, the women's 1,500m event has not been held in major tournaments such as the Olympics, Asiad, SEA Games, etc. However, if only counting the Asian Swimming Championship system, Anh Vien's achievement has far surpassed the record set in 2006 by Chinese athlete Yu Rui of 16 minutes 36.46 seconds.
