Hung Dao Commune (Hung Nguyen) has comprehensive development thanks to New Rural Areas

(Baonghean) -Implementing the motto of 'Maximizing all resources', in which "People must truly be the subject", after 3 years of building the New Rural Area, Hung Dao commune has reached the finish line as planned.

In the propaganda work, Hung Dao commune has made people understand the importance of each criterion and target set out in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. At the same time, it has clearly pointed out the content, methods, ways of doing, and the role of each person.

Hung Dao Party Committee and people have united as one; cadres and party members have been exemplary pioneers, actively promoting the internal strength of the people, making the most of the help from businesses and organizations, and together with children far from home, contributing to building a new rural appearance for their commune.

Hung Dao is a purely agricultural commune, so the Party Committee and the government pay great attention to agriculture. When implementing the construction of the new rural area, the commune government focused on completing the criteria for internal irrigation and traffic, implementing the project of land consolidation and plot exchange, creating conditions for shifting crop structure, and applying scientific and technological advances to production.

Up to now, the commune has basically completed land consolidation, plot exchange, and land conversion according to Directive 08 of the Provincial Party Committee, creating favorable conditions for projects such as "Building high-income fields", "Building large-scale fields...". The whole commune has 18 farm models, 12 livestock farms, combined cultivation to promote efficiency; there are 113 large and small tillage machines, 17 combine harvesters, 29 row harvesters, and 66 rice threshers.

Along with the development of agricultural production, Hung Dao commune has promoted the development of industries, services, business and trade: The whole commune has 27 milling and animal feed processing machines, 265 small-scale trading households, 21 construction enterprises, 33 construction teams, 13 carpentry households, 13 households making household iron, 7 garment businesses, 37 transport vehicles, 11 construction excavators, 49 cars for transportation and passenger transport services. At the same time, focusing on implementing the project "Labor export, job creation".

Currently, the whole commune has 347 people working abroad, bringing home a large income every year. Thanks to the right economic restructuring, actively applying science and technology to cultivation, animal husbandry and other industries, the average income in 2016 is estimated at 29 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate decreased from 9.8% in 2011 to 3.8% at the end of 2016; the rate of well-off and rich households is increasing day by day.

In addition to economic development, the cultural and social fields have many improvements, 100% of households have audio-visual equipment, and the system provides Internet connection to every residential community. Village roads always have electricity, 14/14 hamlets and blocks have spacious cultural houses. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", building cultural villages and cultural families has received positive responses from the people. The rate of cultural families annually reaches 84%; 11/14 hamlets and blocks, 1 clan, communal agency and 2/3 schools maintain and promote the title of cultural village, cultural clan, and cultural unit.

Education, learning encouragement, and talent encouragement are given attention. 14/14 hamlets, blocks, 3 schools, organizations, and businesses have learning encouragement funds, and many families have learning encouragement funds of 20 million VND or more. The quality of teaching and learning is increasingly improved. All 3/3 schools have met national standards level 1 and are striving to meet level 2 standards in the near future. Every year, the number of students admitted to universities and colleges is 90-120.

Medical work and primary health care for the people are taken care of. The medical station is well-built, 100% of households have sanitary facilities. All national health programs are fully implemented. The commune meets national health standards for the period 2012 - 2020.

Environmental sanitation work is carried out seriously. Along with the issuance of a project to collect and treat waste centrally, Hung Dao has ensured a clean environment, preventing pollution; 97% of households have access to clean water; cemeteries are built according to planning and managed according to regulations.

Political security and social order and safety are ensured. The movement of the whole people participating in protecting the Fatherland has received the support of the people, no complicated incidents or hot spots have occurred; the commune is always recognized as a leader in the movement to protect national security.

Hung Dao Commune Party Committee with 426 Party members has been continuously recognized as a strong Party Committee, achieving the title of exemplary strong Party Committee in 2016. The commune's cadres and civil servants have high capacity, qualifications and sense of responsibility. The government, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations have been continuously recognized as excellent every year.

During the implementation of the NTM, Hung Dao mobilized 190.43 billion VND, of which the people of the whole commune donated 1.27 hectares of land worth 18.7 billion VND, contributing tens of thousands of working days. At the end of 2016, Hung Dao commune achieved 19/19 criteria, and was recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting the new rural standards.

In the coming time, Hung Dao commune will continue to prioritize government capital to build welfare works, have a mechanism to integrate projects under the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, and strive to achieve a model New Rural Commune as soon as possible.
