Building the image of a model Nghe An party member with prestige among the people

(Baonghean) - This is one of three breakthrough contents in implementing Directive 05 identified by the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

After 1 year of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" (referred to as Directive 05), the Party Committee and people of Nghe An have achieved some initial positive results.

Regarding the study and implementation of Directive 05, the Provincial Party Standing Committee organized the dissemination of the Directive at the Conference summarizing 5 years of implementing Directive No. 03-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Continuing to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example" at the provincial level on May 27, 2016, with 280 people.

At the district and grassroots levels, Party Secretaries directly disseminated Directive 05 at the Conference to study and disseminate the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

Regarding studying and researching topics, in 2016, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee organized an online conference to study the entire course of the topic "Basic contents of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", the main connection point was at the Provincial Party Committee and connected with 22 connection points in districts, cities and towns, with about 1,500 people participating in the study.

Currently, localities and units throughout the province are implementing the 2017 thematic study "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle on preventing and combating ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation, self-evolution and self-transformation" under the direction of the Central Government.

Accordingly, the requirement is: "In studying, regular activities, and thematic activities, localities, agencies, and units must apply the 2017 theme, in conjunction with implementing political tasks to organize and follow; select a number of key, prominent, and urgent issues to focus on and effectively resolve."

Regarding the development of collective and individual plans to implement Directive 05, Party committees at all levels in the province have directed localities and units to develop plans to implement Directive 05 with specific and practical contents, associated with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII) on Party building, with the political tasks of localities and units, clearly identifying breakthrough contents to focus on implementation, at the same time, directing Party organizations, unions, agencies and units to require cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, union members and association members to develop personal plans on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" for implementation.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has identified 3 breakthrough contents in implementing Directive 05 that need to be focused on and have achieved initial positive results, namely:

Building the image of a model Nghe An Party member with prestige among the people, renewing the working style and manner close to the people, listening and dialogue with the people; fighting against the disease of achievements and formalities; practicing thrift, fighting against waste, harassment and negativity; resolutely eliminating conservative and stagnant thinking, enhancing the sense of responsibility, "saying goes hand in hand with doing".

Renewing thinking, being truly open-minded, promoting internal resources, and taking advantage of external resources in attracting investment. In 2016, the province granted 141 new projects, with a total newly registered and increased investment capital of 35,441 billion VND. Among them, many large projects using high technology have been put into effective operation, creating many jobs and contributing a large amount to the budget.

Recently, at the Spring Dinh Dau 2017 Investor Meeting, Nghe An granted Investment Registration Certificates to 8 projects and signed 15 memorandums of understanding and investment cooperation agreements in Nghe An with a total registered capital of 22,628 billion VND.

Continue to maintain many practical and effective models to help the poor and poor communes and villages develop their economy and become rich, such as: 110 departments, branches, agencies and units in the province received help from 110 communes and villages in remote areas to develop their socio-economy; "saving rice jar"; "bowl of love porridge"; free medical examination and treatment; "voluntary blood donation"; "saving yourself for the poor"; "Free teaching",... During the recent Lunar New Year of Dinh Dau (2017), responding to the call "Tet for the poor" of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, 279 collectives and individuals donated and supported nearly 44 billion VND to help the poor celebrate Tet.

However, there are still some limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome. Some cadres and party members, including key cadres in Party agencies, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels, do not fully understand the meaning, importance, purpose and requirements of Directive 05 for Party building work, so the development of collective and individual plans to implement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" is not specific, clear and not close to the local and unit situation.

The development and implementation of standards of agencies and units according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are still slow, or the content is long and not specific; the organization of activities on the contents of Directive 05 in Party cells is still confusing in both content and form.

The propaganda work on the implementation of Directive 05 is not really lively and attractive, and has not created a strong influence from typical examples in the Party and society. The setting of examples, propaganda, and replication of typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style are still limited, untimely, and not regular.

To effectively implement Directive 05, in the coming time, Party committees at all levels need to pay attention to directing the implementation of the following tasks:

Continue to raise awareness, thoroughly grasp the importance, practical significance and the requirement to regularly and voluntarily implement Directive 05 of the Politburo. Link the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo, Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII), with the political tasks of localities and units. Focus on directing the good implementation of the breakthrough contents identified in the implementation of Directive 05 in each locality, agency and unit.

Continue to improve the quality of Party cell and mass organization activities, organize specialized meetings on implementing Directive 05, closely following monthly topics in Party cell activities under the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Strengthen the work of urging, inspecting and supervising the implementation of the contents built in the collective and individual plans on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in conjunction with the implementation of Regulation No. 55-QD/TW dated January 10, 2012 of the Secretariat on the inspection work of party organizations on the cultivation and training of morality of cadres and party members.

Strengthening propaganda work on implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo, associated with timely commendation and reward of new factors and new ways of doing things, creating a spread in the community.
