While doctors were treating a patient, a group of people rushed into the emergency room, overpowered the doctor and continued to slash the patient, including a wound to the neck that severed the trachea.

The group of thugs recorded by the hospital's camera consisted of about 20 young men, riding 7 motorbikes with 2 or 3 people in tow, rushing into the hospital, holding knives and machetes, slashing the patients with more injuries.

The patient was in the hospital so the doctors took him straight to the emergency operating room, so despite the serious injuries, the patient was still saved.

As for the thugs, after committing the crime, they jumped in the car and left. The hospital reported to the police station but the police are still investigating.

According to doctors at Hanoi Medical University Hospital, because it was a holiday, there were only two doctors on duty and only two security guards, but the group of thugs were numerous and had weapons, so when they left, the doctors could only focus on rescuing the patient and could do nothing more.

Through this case, the hospital also tightened hospital security so that patients treated at Hanoi Medical University Hospital can feel secure during their treatment.
