Thai Hoa: Building urban citizen awareness

(Baonghean) - A civilized urban area requires a sense of responsibility and the cooperation of exemplary and disciplined urban citizens. That is one of the contents that Thai Hoa Town has been striving to implement in recent times on the urban development roadmap.

Coming to Thai Hoa town today, it is easy to see that the implementation of hanging the national flag on the main roads is implemented synchronously and seriously. Previously, because there were no specific instructions on size, how to hang and especially when to hang, each household and each neighborhood did it differently, not ensuring urban aesthetics.

To restore urban order and build a cultural lifestyle in residential areas, one of the requirements of Thai Hoa town is to unify the standards for hanging the national flag.

Implementing the above plan, since April 2017, in the project to build a civilized urban ward, Hoa Hieu ward has deployed for people to hang the national flag in unison with the correct size, 3.5m high, the angle of the flagpole is 45 degrees, creating a synchronous and neat landscape.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hai, residing in Kim Tan block, Hoa Hieu ward, said: This is a small but meaningful work because it not only creates beauty in the urban landscape but also contributes to educating the sense of responsibility and love for the homeland and country for each citizen of the town.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Hieu Ward said: In the coming time, implementing the project to build a ward that meets urban civilization standards, the ward will continue to propagate and mobilize people in other blocks to implement and expand the hanging of the national flag in the area.

In addition, the town has also paid attention to and directed the work of urban sanitation and beautification regularly. In previous years, due to the lack of organized waste collection, the lack of proper waste collection places, and the limited environmental awareness of the people, waste was thrown indiscriminately, causing environmental pollution, affecting the health of the people and spoiling the beauty of the village.

Faced with that situation, Thai Hoa town has actively implemented waste collection to ensure environmental sanitation in the area, contributing to building civilized urban areas and new rural areas.

To achieve this goal, immediately after the Town Party Congress, waste collection projects were developed. Accordingly, functional forces regularly focus on propaganda and directly collect waste in residential areas, with the participation of associations and organizations.

Along with that, the collection and centralized waste treatment sites need to be carried out in accordance with the reality and general planning of each locality. The town has integrated the contents of the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", implementing village covenants - conventions in maintaining rural environmental hygiene.

Mobilize people to practice a civilized lifestyle, build cultural families; encourage the development of production and livestock breeding associated with environmental protection; promote the planting, care and protection of trees, create a clean environment and green - clean - beautiful landscape; launch movements to improve village roads, alleys, family grounds and build solid, standard sanitary works.
