Blocking Cua Rao bridge to arrest 2 young men buying drugs

(Baonghean.vn) – When Luan and Nam took a taxi to the foot of Cua Rao 2 bridge, the police signaled the car to stop for inspection and discovered drugs hidden in the car door.

On the morning of April 18, the leader of Tuong Duong District Police said that they had just arrested Nguyen Trong Luan (born 1986) and Tran Huu Nam (born 1972), both residing in Hien Son Commune, Do Luong District, for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, at around 12 noon on April 16, Tuong Duong District Police received a report from the public that two young men took a taxi in Yen Na commune to Hoa Binh town with many suspicious signs.

Upon receiving the report, a police team immediately blocked the checkpoint at Cua Rao 2 bridge, Xa Luong commune to verify the source of the information. The authorities discovered in the right door pocket behind the passenger seat a black plastic bag containing white solid crystals, a pack of Thang Long cigarettes containing 15 pink pills, a box containing two black potylene bags, one of which contained pink pills and one of which contained white powder. The seized evidence was 414 synthetic drug pills equivalent to 41.4 grams; 40 grams of heroin; 1.14 grams of crystal meth.

Luan confessed to the police that the powder was drugs and that Nam bought it in the slopes of Kem in Yen Na commune and gave it to Luan to hold. It is known that Nam has two previous convictions related to drugs.
