Welcoming 107 remains of fallen soldiers back to their homeland.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 11th,The Party committees, government, people, and armed forces of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Anh Son, and Do Luong districts organized a ceremony to receive the remains of 104 fallen soldiers.Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the provinces of Vientiane, Xaysomboun, and Xieng Khouang were repatriated, along with the remains of three martyrs who died in Ky Son.
Attending the ceremony in Ky Son district, on the Lao side were Comrade Xy Tha Duong Mala - Director of the Policy Department, Deputy Head of the Special Working Committee of the Lao Government, and the special working group from the three provinces of Vientiane, Xaysomboun and Xieng Khouang. On the Vietnamese side were: Major General Tran Huu Dung - Director of the Policy Department, Ministry of National Defence; Ms. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Head of the Special Task Force of Nghe An province; Colonel Tran Van Hung - Commander of the Military Command of Nghe An province, and representatives of the district leaders. |

In Ky Son, delegates and people respectfully laid flowers and lit incense in commemoration, expressing their deep gratitude and appreciation to the martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives for national independence, for the revolutionary ideals of the Party, and for the liberation of the fraternal country of Laos.
The heroic deeds and sacrifices of the martyrs have contributed to glorifying and enriching the golden history of both countries, while further strengthening the loyal affection and special friendship between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples.
Welcoming the heroes back to rest in the embrace of their motherland is an opportunity for today's generations to remember their heroic deeds and also an opportunity for the people of Ky Son to express their gratitude to these heroic sons of the nation.
In the face of the demands of national defense in the new situation, the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs further inspire patriotism, national independence consciousness, and the determination of the entire Party and people in firmly protecting the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.

At exactly 11 o'clock, the remains of the heroic martyrs arrived in Tuong Duong district. In a solemn atmosphere, thousands of officials, Party members, citizens, and students respectfully bowed before the spirits of the heroic martyrs as they rested during their journey through Tuong Duong, lighting incense sticks to express their boundless gratitude for their noble sacrifice and praying for their souls to rest in peace in their beloved Motherland.

This afternoon,Anh Son districtA ceremony was also held to welcome and bid farewell to the remains of Vietnamese martyrs, volunteer soldiers, and experts who died in Laos, bringing them back for burial at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Nghi Loc district.

After traversing a long journey of over 500km through treacherous mountains and passes, the special task force of Nghe An province brought the fallen soldiers back to their homeland amidst the warm and sacred welcome of the people of the province.

Lighting incense sticks, officials and people of Do Luong district expressed their profound gratitude for the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence of the nation, for the happiness of the people, and for the noble international friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Tomorrow, May 12th, the remains of 107 martyrs will be interred at the Nghi Loc District Martyrs' Cemetery.
